Contrary to some predictions, the book industry continues to exist, and new talented authors appear in the world, whose works are read by the whole world. Well, or their novels are filmed in Hollywood, and then at least the whole world watches their stories.
You all probably imagine what JK Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series of books, looks like, but other authors who gave us the most popular literary works remain in the shadows. They are probably very rarely recognized on the street.
We are correcting this situation and showing you photographs of famous contemporary writers, who themselves turned out to be much less famous than their books.

Author of the Twilight series of novels (2005-...), on which the film series of the same name was made (2008-2012).
2. E. L. James (58 years old)
Author of the series of novels “50 Shades of Gray” (2011-2012), which was based on a series of films of the same name (2015-2018).
3. Bernhard Schlink (76 years old)
Author of the best-selling novel “The Reader” (1995), which was adapted into a 2008 film of the same name.
4. Jessica Bruder
Author of the documentary novel Nomadland: Surviving 21st Century America (2017), which was adapted into the 2020 Oscar-winning film Nomadland.

Author of the novel “Question and Answer” (2005), based on which the Oscar-winning 2008 film “Slumdog Millionaire” was filmed.

Author of the best-selling novel The Goldfinch (2013), for which the writer received a Pulitzer Prize. The book was filmed in 2019.
