Hi all

Attacks, thefts and murders occur every day. People break into houses and create a lot of problems for others. When a crime is committed, first of all we think about those who committed it - about people. But as we're about to find out, humans aren't the only ones who can commit crimes. Some of the crimes that humans are usually responsible for have also been committed by animals. Here are 10 such cases.

10. The bear who stole the car

Bears have been known to steal food from homes, terrorize cities, and even sometimes break into homes. But this story breaks all records. A family from Colorado woke up one morning at 5 o'clock to discover that a bear had gotten into their car during the night. While trying to locate food, the bear hit the gas pedal and the car crashed into a neighbor's mailbox. In addition, before leaving the car, the bear left a gift in the form of its own excrement. Fortunately, no one was hurt. However, the car was damaged - the rear window was broken, and its radio and steering wheel were almost ripped out. The family members were, of course, very surprised by what happened, but mostly reacted to the incident with humor. However, the car was totaled and the mailbox was almost destroyed. Therefore, we can say that the bear caused damage to property and theft of a car.

9. A rooster that killed a man

Cockfighting is not something to be taken lightly as it is animal cruelty and is illegal in the United States. However, this incident, which occurred in California, caused the death of a person. Thirty-five-year-old Jose Luis Ochoa was attending an illegal cockfighting event when a knife was stuck in his right calf by a rooster who had it attached to his leg. For fighting, roosters are usually equipped with razor-sharp knives and other objects. However, up to this point, no one had been killed or even seriously injured, so people were shocked. The man was taken to the hospital, but it was too late. He died two hours later.

8The Chimpanzee That Attacked A Young Woman

In November 1973, an experiment called Project Nim began, starting with the birth of a chimpanzee who was torn from his mother. The researchers sent him to live with a human family so that he would grow up just like a human baby. The chimpanzees were taught sign language and everything was going great until one young female volunteer thought Nim was trying to hug her. But what happened was tragic and horrifying. The chimpanzee rushed at the woman and grabbed her cheek with his teeth. As the woman clutched her bleeding cheek, the young chimpanzee reportedly repeatedly signaled "sorry" in sign language. While the young woman ultimately turned out okay, this incident changed the way the experiment was viewed.

7The Emu That Was Chased By The Police

As anyone living in Australia can attest, emus are not to be taken lightly either. However, this ostrich committed a rather funny and innocent crime. After escaping from his owner, the 1.2m emu was spotted running through the city during rush hour and trying to crawl into a house to hide. The police were a little frightened by the bird, since it was quite large and fast, not to mention the fact that working with wild birds was not part of their usual duties. One woman was asked if she could let the bird into her living room, but she didn't think it was a good idea. However, at 8 am the Emu was caught and returned to its owner.

6. Sperm whales stealing fish

According to Alaskan fishermen, this crime is not committed by one specific animal, but appears to be a common occurrence. Sperm whales seem to target fishing boats as an easy source of food, and are smart about removing fish from hooks and submerging them in the water. This theft is quite unpleasant for fishermen, but it is unlikely that anything will change in the near future. The sound of a boat's engine is said to attract animals that use sound to hunt. They float peacefully next to the boats, waiting for their moment to pull off the maneuver. They are definitely smart, so we think they deserve food.

5. Unlucky Slow Thief

The sloth, who is usually considered slow and lazy, managed to sneak into a closed restaurant. Looking for a quick late-night snack, he first deftly maneuvered around the restaurant. However, the slow thief was caught when he fell to the floor, attracting the attention of local security. Although monkeys had previously been spotted in this restaurant during the day, this incident surprised and amused the owner.

4. Thief cat

Cats are generally considered less innocent than most. However, no one expects a cat to suddenly have an ever-growing pile of money that it has "borrowed" from others. Sir Whines-A-Lot, the cat in question, apparently stole money from people through a small hole in the door of the office where his owner works. What likely started out as a game of people waving dollar bills at the kitten quickly grew into a large pile of bills that the cat's owner decided to donate to the homeless.

3. The Raven That Stole the Evidence

Crows are much smarter than some people think. However, many were amazed when a raven named Canuck swooped down to steal a knife that was evidence from the Vancouver crime scene, which reportedly involved more than 20 police officers. The canuck turned out to be the pet of someone who lived nearby. The bird grew up in the company of people, but it developed a rather mischievous streak that made it participate in pranks and practical jokes. In this case, the raven could cause more trouble than ever before.

2. The dog that shot its owner

The Iowa man's day started out as normal as he played with his dog Balew on the couch before an accident occurred. During the game, the dog took the safety off the weapon and then pulled the trigger, shooting the owner in the leg. Later in the press, the man called his dog a “big weakling,” saying that he lay down next to him and began to whine because the poor mongrel knew he had done something wrong. Fortunately, everything worked out fine in the end.

1 The monkey who kidnapped and killed a child

This is probably the most serious case on this list. In India, a monkey kidnapped and killed a child. It is said that the local monkeys steal food and cause trouble quite often, but this was the first time they had kidnapped someone. According to the child's mother, the newborn was sleeping when the monkey grabbed him and carried him away. Unfortunately, the monkey moved too fast and the boy's mother was unable to catch it. The child was later found dead behind the house - the monkey must have dropped him.
