“What a bitch”: stories of people who knew celebrities before they became famous (16 photos)
Of course, the Internet is full of stories from people who swear and swear that they almost kissed the gums of first-magnitude stars. But among these epic tales, occasionally there are stories so funny or interesting that you just want to naively believe in them. However, it is up to you to decide what is truth and what is fiction.
1. “My brother went to the same school as Taylor Swift. She was actually very mean to people and got booed when she performed at a talent show the year before she graduated.”
2. “My girlfriend’s grandparents used to rent movies at the local Blockbuster [video rental chain], and the gentleman there was always recommending weird movies to them. According to them, he was very polite, but he had a strange name. It turned out it was Quentin Tarantino. They saw one of his films when he became famous and said, 'Well, that explains his recommendations.'"
3. “My former neighbor lived next to John Mayer as a child and was very close to him. Although I never met him myself, my neighbor hung out with him several times. It turns out that Mayer is a pretty down-to-earth person and just wanted to spend some quiet time with him. What really stood out to me was Mayer inviting my neighbor to move in with him for a few months after his wife's suicide. It’s a sad story, but the neighbor simply couldn’t stand to be in his house knowing that his wife lived her last moments there.”
4. “I’m Cardi B’s cousin and have known her since I was a kid. She really remained herself, rather reserved, but wild and cheerful when she was comfortable. We still see each other regularly at family functions, which is nice.”
5. “Post Malone and I graduated from the same school! I even have a photo of when we recreated the Last Supper with McDonald's food for someone's project in art class. He played Jesus, and I was, essentially, Judas. We weren't close friends, but he was always friendly when we talked. He was always on board and always cracking jokes in our history lessons. I always liked this dude!”
6. “I had just started high school and Chris Pratt was in his last year. We didn’t overlap much, but he participated in many events, and I was also a technician in the play in which he played. He was a funny guy. Very charismatic, relaxed, “class clown”. Exactly the way you imagine him as a child, looking at him now.”
7. “My best friend’s mom went to college with Wes Anderson, and yes, he was a total hipster, but he’s also a very humble dude. They run into each other in Dallas from time to time, and he always greets her and buys her coffee, as if he's not a mega-famous director. Same with Owen Wilson."
8. “My mom grew up with Courteney Cox. She was such a bitch. The stories about her are terrible. She's from Mountain Brook, Alabama, an incredibly wealthy suburb of Birmingham."
9. “My mom went on a couple of dates with Nicolas Cage! I don't know exactly what year it was, but my mother was a professional ballerina in New York. Nic Cage's father owned the ballet troupe in which she danced. Apparently, Nic Cage saw my mom, he liked her, and they went on a few dates. I asked my mother what he was like, she thought for a second, and then said: “Weird.”
10. “My grandmother once shared a milkshake with Elvis Presley. She adored him, and on the day he died, she kicked my father out of the house because he was acting like a petulant child. Closer to Christmas, she always felt terribly sad when the song Blue Christmas was played on the radio.”
11. “My mother went to the same school as Marilyn Manson. He carried a lunchbox full of doll heads to school and his father affectionately called him Lucifer and the Antichrist.”
12. “My parents went to Catholic school with Chris Farley. Apparently, in life he behaved exactly the same as in front of cameras, because he was once suspended from classes for showing his pussy to a nun.”
13. “My former classmate’s son went to school with Tom Holland. He says he’s very nice and likes to fool around, a little frivolous and forgetful.”
14. “I went to the same school as Drake. He was a year older than my older brother, and one day he started crying in the boys' locker room at the gym because another boy had some designer sweater or something and he didn't have one, lol.... I didn't I remember one where he bullied others or something like that, he was just a bit of a whiner……. Last summer I was invited to a party at his house, I met him and told him we went to school together etc and he was very nice.”
15. “My mom’s best friend’s sister went to school with Brad Pitt. She even dated him for a couple of months, but left him because she thought he wouldn’t amount to anything in life.”
