Where is the weapon stored now and why is it so valuable?
It is unlikely that you will surprise anyone with stories about how big lovers of power wanted to increase it. However, sometimes their desire for this is so great that they even agree to believe in mysticism, to do anything just to take possession of wonderful objects, with the help of which they will receive incredible power and limitless possibilities. The Spear of Destiny became such an energetically strong thing. This weapon is a symbol of power and the key to military success.
What is this weapon and why is it so important
If you look into history, you will find that many leaders, regardless of the era, wanted to get it. They were confident that, having acquired this item, they would be able to defeat any enemy. As the Gospel of John says, it was with this spear that the Roman centurion Longinus pierced the helpless and dying Jesus on the cross. After this, weapons began to be considered holy.
It is curious, but there is far more than one copy of this weapon stored in the world, and each country believes that it has the original artifact. There are many legends telling about the legendary spear and what happened at Golgotha. It is believed that the warrior Longinus pierced the body of Christ with a weapon to make sure of his death, but when the gushing blood fell on the centurion and cured him of his illness, he exclaimed about a miracle that proved that this was indeed the Son of God. Later, Longinus also witnessed the resurrection of Jesus, after which he began to preach, but he was executed for this.
However, mentions of the Instrument of Destiny began long before the Birth of Christ. A piece of forged metal that once fell from the sky miraculously helped Joshua become the winner. Also, with the help of this unique item, King Solomon was able to drive away the polytheists. The weapon also ended up in the hands of King Herod, and after his death it came to the Jewish procurators, and then to Longinus.
Where is it now?
Over numerous centuries, the magical weapon has changed a very large number of owners. It strangely appeared in history, then disappeared again for hundreds of years. At the moment, there is no exact confirmation which version of the legendary weapon is of real value. Each of them is located in different parts of the planet. So, for example, one spear is in Vienna, in the Hofburg Palace, another can be seen in Krakow, another in the Vatican, in St. Peter's Cathedral. The fourth weapon bears the greatest resemblance to the description of a real spear. It is stored in Armenia on the territory of Etchmiadzin. Initially, the relic was brought to the Ayrivank monastery, which therefore received the name Geghardavank, or simply Geghard, which translates as “spear monastery.” Then the spear was transferred to the treasury of Etchmiadzin.
How the spear got to Napoleon
Both the founder of the Third Reich and Napoleon dreamed of obtaining the ancient artifact. The latter's wish was fulfilled when he was given the treasured item from Marshal Bernadotte. Many believe that it was the possession of this weapon that helped the conqueror win victories until the beginning of the 19th century. The war marked the end of the strategist's successes. There were rumors that then the shrine was simply stolen by a partisan and handed over to Kutuzov.
