The pictures from the selection create a good atmosphere, it’s always nice to come across them on TV, and you can spend a great evening with them. 
Julie and Julia: Recipe for Happiness (2009) 
A true story about a girl, Julie (Amy Adams), who decided to cook 524 dishes according to the recipes of the famous Julia Child (Meryl Streep). And this had to be done in 365 days. The main character colorfully describes the whole process in her blog. You watch a movie and smell delicious food. The film was directed by Nora Ephron, creator of such hits as “When Harry Met Sally,” “Sleepless in Seattle,” and “You’ve Got Mail.”
Let's Dance (2004)
A remake of the 1997 Japanese film of the same name.
Richard Gere plays a lawyer, tired of his boring life, who takes the risk of signing up for a dance lesson with Polina (Jeniffer Lopez). Ballroom dancing, of course, will return the taste for life to the Chicago lawyer.
Perfect Strangers (2015)
Seven old friends gather for dinner. When they decide to start a game in which they will have to read all incoming SMS out loud and answer calls on speakerphone, they cannot even imagine what such frankness will lead to.

Meeting Place (2017)
A film by Paolo Genovese, creator of Perfect Strangers. "The Meeting Place" is a feature-length adaptation of the Italian miniseries "The Table in the Corner." In the story, a mysterious man sits at a table in the corner with a notepad and pen. He can fulfill any desire, but in order to fulfill it, a person will have to do something bad.
The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)
Chris Gardner is a single father. Raising a five-year-old son, Chris tries his best to ensure that the child grows up happy. Working as a salesman, he cannot pay the rent and they are evicted. Finding himself on the street, but not wanting to give up, the father gets a job as an intern at a brokerage company, hoping to get a specialist position. Only during the internship he will not receive any money, and the internship lasts 6 months. The film is based on real events.
Will Smith played with his son in the film. This was Jaden Smith's first big film role. Will Smith said his son taught him a lot on the set, and not vice versa - for example, to treat everything more simply. Father and son also starred together in After Earth (2013).

Planet Ka-Pax (2001)
A very strange man who did not take off his sunglasses was admitted to a psychiatric institute. He calls himself Prot (Kevin Spacey) and says that he is from the distant planet Ka-Pex, from where he was transported to Earth using a beam of light. Prot is so convincing that a psychiatrist (Jeff Bridges) begins to think that his patient is really a representative of an extraterrestrial civilization.
Male striptease (1997)
With a budget of just $1 million, this British independent film about unemployed steelworkers who take up striptease grossed $100 million. It is still considered one of the best British comedies.
Awakening (1990)
Dr. Sayer (Robin Williams) has never treated people. He spent five years in the company of worms, conducting research and experimenting. Working in a clinic with chronically ill patients becomes a real challenge for him. Among his charges, he discovers several people who have suffered encephalitis. These patients seem to be in a state of half-asleep, not speaking or moving. Some inner feeling tells the doctor that they can be reached and returned to reality.
The inquisitive mind of the researcher calls for new experiments. To carry them out, the hero chooses Leonard. The patient suffered from the disease at the age of 11 and entered a state of stupor. Incredibly beautiful adventures of an Indian boy and, albeit a computer generated, but very believable tiger in the same boat.
