We invite you to reconsider the films of the last decade.

Cloud Atlas (2012)

"Cloud Atlas" (2012) by the Wachowski siblings and Tom Tykwer may not be the most popular film, but for the artists this picture was a real gift. Almost all the actors in "Atlas" played several roles in the film. Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugo Weaving and Hugh Grant each got six different characters. The film tells 6 interconnected stories about different reincarnations of several characters.

The film was a complete failure at the box office; with a budget of $100 million, it grossed just over $130 million worldwide.

Prometheus (2012)

A prequel to the original Alien (1979) and the fifth film in the series. In 2017, Ridley Scott directed the sequel to the prequel Alien: Covenant. Ridley Scott is planning to make at least one more Alien.

Using the bad example of Charlize Theron's heroine, this film shows the viewer that if a huge spaceship is rolling towards you, you don't have to run away from it in a straight line.

Time Loop (2012)

Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt star as young Bruce Willis in the film about a corporation that erases people from history using time travel.

"Looper" was directed by Raina Johnson, who contributed to the desecration of "Star Wars" by directing "The Last Jedi." True, he later justified himself to the audience by writing and filming “Knives Out.”

Oblivion (2013)

The year is 2077, humanity has been living on the satellite of Saturn for a long time, because after a nuclear war with aliens the Earth has become uninhabitable. All that remains on Earth are the drones and their personnel, such as Tom Cruise, a rotational former Marine. Olga Kurylenko appears to him in a dream, and then she crashes on an old spaceship, and Tom Cruise finds her. The film also features Morgan Freeman, who explains to Tom Cruise how wrong he was.

Oblivion translated means "oblivion".

Gravity (2013)

A physics-defying, masterfully crafted and exciting film by Alfons Cuarón (Roma, Children of Men), which brought back the fashion for space in cinema.

James Cameron called "Gravity" the best space film in the history of cinema.

Interstellar (2014)

Film directed by Christopher Nolan, based on a script by his brother Jonathan Nolan. Theoretical physicist Kip Thorne made sure that the supernatural nonsense typical of Hollywood did not offend viewers who understand at least something about science.

Initially, the film was supposed to be directed by Steven Spielberg, and he saw Will Smith in the title role.

Edge of Tomorrow (2014)

As soon as Tom Cruise finished filming Oblivion, he immediately began filming another science fiction film. This time, Cruise fights aliens in an exoskeleton and dies, but is revived every time, just like in a video game.

The film was directed by Doug Liman, director of the Bourne films with Matt Damon.

Ex Machina (2014)

Reclusive billionaire Nathan (Oscar Isaac) invites young programmer Caleb (Domhnall Glisson) to his home, lost among the mountains and forests, to test the latest model of artificial intelligence he has developed, Ava (Alicia Vikander). Caleb tests Ava's credibility with the Turing test and falls in love with her. Ava, with Caleb's support, rebels against her creator.

The film received an Oscar for best special effects.

The Martian (2015)

Ridley Scott's film is about how Matt Damon was forgotten on Mars, how he grew potatoes there, and how then he was saved by the whole world.

The biggest inaccuracy in the film and in the Andy Weir novel on which it is based is that there cannot be strong sandstorms on Mars due to low atmospheric pressure.

A Robot Named Chappie (2015)

A film about a scout droid endowed with artificial intelligence that completely replicates the human mind. That is, a robot created to kill is given the ability to think, feel and create. Starring Hugh Jackman, Dev Patel, Sharlto Copley and Sigourney Weaver.

Director Neela Blomkamp (District 9) wanted to make a sequel, but the film's commercial failure prevented him from doing so.
