People are completely screwed! While other animals store every calorie in reserves, we sweat in the gym and on treadmills in order to lose these same calories as quickly as possible. Animals most likely will not understand such a desire. And especially the fattest animals on the planet will not understand him! 
Okay, I went a little overboard with the pumping. The bears that have come out of hibernation will be imbued with sympathy for us. They will look at our slender bodies, compare them with their thinner sides and decide that we, too, have spent a lot of money over the winter. But the closer autumn is, the greater the difference between us will be. By the first snow, brown bears consist of 30-40% fat. Bears from European taiga forests make less reserves, grizzlies and Kamchatka bears make more. The latter settled comfortably on the spawning routes of fish and were able to collect a hefty tribute for the right of passage. 
Polar bears have the same voluminous fat deposits, but they persist throughout their lives. In the Arctic, fat is not only a food reserve and a medium for dissolving vitamins, but also an important heat insulator. However, to maintain such a supply of lipids, polar bears have to eat exclusively something fatty. For example, seals. 
By the way, about seals. These chubby cuties are soft both inside and out. The thickness of their fat layer is 8 centimeters! And this layer warms so well that pinnipeds had to come up with vents: places where the fat layer is thinner and the heat accumulated inside the body can break free. You can’t tell that the fat content in seal is only 25%.

And their older brothers, elephant seals, have the same amount of thermal insulation as bears - up to 40%. And this with a mass of 2.5 tons! Such mountains of fat interested people centuries ago. Elephant seals became one of the main suppliers of blubber, a liquid fat extracted from the blubber of marine mammals. This almost led to their complete extermination. Fortunately, this fishing is now banned, and the number of pinnipeds with trunks is growing by as much as 15% per year. 
For elephant seals, the fat layer is not just insulation, but also armor that protects against death during fights for females.
Another traditional source of blubber is the northern right whale, the plumpest of the cetaceans. The excess weight in his body reaches 50%, about 50 tons! Like elephant seals, they almost became extinct from overzealous blubber hunters. It’s just that they’re having a hard time with the restoration of the population. Right whales have been on the brink of extinction for 200 years. There are approximately 300 individuals, and the population has no positive dynamics. 
These dire consequences for these species are due to the fact that oil producers chose the wrong target for fishing. They should actually start breeding moths! After all, the American army scoop is the plumpest creature on the planet. Their larvae live on a diet of selected grains and gain significant fat mass. And after metamorphosis, insects catch up with nectar from flowers, and the fat content in the body reaches 72%! The moth needs such reserves to survive the winter. Which is unusual, because most moths prefer to die with the first cold weather. 
They did not foresee only one thing: Brown bears love fatty foods, because it makes them fatter. For them, army moth is a delicacy no worse than ant eggs and fresh fish. And in terms of nutritional value, the insect is ahead of wild boars and moose!
