Funny and ridiculous covers on pirated Dendy cartridges (20 photos)

In the 90s, a large number of cartridges for the Dendy console were released. However, most of the cartridges that fell into the hands of players were pirated.

Sometimes, Chinese pirates didn’t even bother with the covers, but put such nonsense on the cartridges that it was simply funny. By the way, Dandy was also an unlicensed console

And no matter how strange it may sound, I would like to start not with a pirated one, but with a licensed cartridge from the Steepler company, which could be bought in the official Dendy store. Here is the game "DuckTales". But instead of Scrooge and other heroes of the animated series, a picture with an ordinary duck was stuck on the cartridge. And it was presented as a license.

After the success of the game "Black Cloak", many wanted to play a sequel. Moreover, the main villain Antiplasch was not in the game, so his appearance in the second part would be quite logical. And when gamers saw a game called “Black Cloak 2”, where the state of emergency itself, Louis with a pistol and a crocodile with a gun showed off, they were in seventh heaven. True, in reality, instead of “Black Cloak” we were waiting for a stubborn hack of the game “Super contra”. Imagine the disappointment of gamers after what they saw.

Only three parts of the game "Super Mario bros" were officially released, but thanks to pirates, the number of parts exceeded several dozen. Here is the 13th part of the game as an example, where Mario’s head was carelessly stuck on the body of some character in a kimono and with a stick. But in fact it was a pirate hack of the game "Saiyuuki World 2", where the main character was replaced with Mario.

Surely, many of you have played the game "Nyankies" (Rockin Cat), where we have to play as a cat with a retractable multifunctional glove. But for some reason, Tom, the Tasmanian Devil, Sylvester and Twitty were stuck on the cartridge itself. What do they have to do with it?

But, instead of displaying Tom on the cartridge with the game "Tom and Jerry", the pirates for some reason stuck the cat Sylvester from the animated series "Sylvester and Twitty". Brilliant!

Well, then we have the classics. Officially, only two parts of the game “Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers” were released on the NES console. But in the sick imagination of the pirates, the idea was born to create a third part of the game, or rather to replace the fighters from the game "Heavy barrel" with two naked chipmunks with a gun in their hands. But the stubbornness lay not only in this, but also in the fact that on the cartridge itself there was an image of Favel Mousekevich from the cartoon “An American Tail”, who was stuck on the body of a military man with a pistol. And in the background one could see some strange bear, as well as helicopters and explosions. In general, complete trash and waste.

And again we return to the game “DuckTales”, or rather to its second part. Take a look at this cartridge and tell me who you see on it? Somehow I don’t see Scrooge McDuck, for whom we are supposed to play, but I see Donald Duck and Plucky Duck from the Tiny Toon cartoon who came from somewhere.

Dream master is a very funny game about a boy who finds himself in the world of dreams and who is able to interact with animals, getting into their skin. But what do we see on the cartridge? And we see young Elijah Wood and characters from famous cartoons who have nothing to do with this game. Oh, and by the way, the game is called "The little Nemo: Dream Master", and not just "Dream Master". The game was released based on the cartoon of the same name, so Elijah Wood is also drawn on the left side here.

Well, how do you like the third part of the game "Ninja Gaiden", which in its pirated version is called "Ninja Ryukendn 3"? Who is this samurai depicted on the cartridge? We're playing as ninjas. In fact, this samurai actually migrated from another game, and not even an 8-bit one.

I think that many games are about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and most likely you have also come across this image. I don’t know why he drew these turtles, but apparently he didn’t watch the cartoon series. Why are turtle shells striped, and why do they have such strange weapons? What kind of boomerang? What kind of onion? What kind of ax? What kind of shield? What kind of sword?

By the way, other cartridges were also released with a similar, but slightly modified picture. This time the pirates painted masks and added gloves. And Michelangelo stands with his back and his shell looks more like a sewer manhole.

What do you think of this Mario? Have you ever seen Mario and Luigi without mustaches?

Also, I was greatly amused by the cartridge with the pirated game "Super wonderful Mario", which depicted a generally incomprehensible set of characters, including Snow White, who had come from nowhere. Well, I’m generally silent about Mario in a strange cap and with a baseball bat in his hands.

Well, with the game "Kick master" it was a joke. I don’t know what motivated the fellow pirates, but they seriously stuck the Mask on the cartridge with the game “Kick master,” that is, Jim Carrey’s character from the movie “The Mask,” as well as his iconic dog Milo. Where is the connection?

What game do you think is on the cartridge listed below? Maybe Castlevania or a Dracula game? No, the first part of the Batman game is recorded here. No, so what? There are bats, and that’s the most important thing.

Well, cartridges with games from the Mortal Kombat series are a different story altogether. As you know, not a single part of the Mortal Kombat game was officially released on the 8-bit console, but the pirates managed to port everything that was possible and impossible, while copying the characters several times to create the appearance of a large number of fighters.

And of course, on the cartridges of the Mortal Kombat games, absolutely left-field characters were often depicted, be it Jean Claude Van Damme, the Green Hornet, Bruce Lee, the heroes of the game “Street fighter”, etc.
