7 in 1: the legendary cartridge for the Dendy console, which many gamers had in the 90s (10 photos)
In the last article we touched on one very popular and in its own way legendary cartridge “9999 in 1” for the Dendy console, which was in the arsenal of many gamers in the 90s. Today I would like to remember another legendary cartridge for the Dendy console, which included 7 games.
Games
We will start, of course, with the most important thing, that is, with games. The cartridge included 7 games. Let's remember what kind of games these were.
Darkwing Duck - classic "Black Cape". Probably every Dandy gamer played this cult game.
Tale Spin - "Miracles on turns." Another game from Capcom, created based on the Disney animated series. Personally, I never liked her.
Robocop 3 - from a pirated cartridge we would expect that instead of the game "Robocop 3" we would be given a pirated version of the game "Tokkyuu Shirei Solbrain", but in this case everything is clean. The third part of the original RoboCop is actually recorded here.
Snake 2 - Classic isometric snake games, that is, "Snake Rattle 'n' Roll", which we loved to play as children.
Mickey Mouse is a children's game about Mickey Mouse and his friend Minnie. This game was probably in the top of my least favorite games on "Dendy".
Seicross is a little-known old game where we have to try on the role of a motorcyclist, shoot at other motorcycles, collect various bonuses and power-ups, etc.
Magic block is a Tetros-like game. Blocks consisting of three elements fall from above. Our task is to assemble blocks in such a way that three identical elements are in the same row vertically or horizontally. In this case they will disappear. As the blocks fall down, you can change the order of their colors to find the one you need.
Appearance
Unlike many multi-game cartridges, the appearance of the cartridge matched its contents. Yes, only 5 games were depicted there, but they all corresponded to the content.
Specifically, you can see images for the games "Black Cape", "Miracles on the Bends", "RoboCop 3", "Mickey Mouse" and "Snake Rattle 'n' Roll". The lesser known "Magic block" and "Seicross" were decided not to be shown in the picture.
Incorrect names
And of course, let’s not forget about the most interesting things. Since this and other similar cartridges were produced by pirates from a famous Asian country, they did not bother with the correct spelling of the names on the cartridge itself.
Thus, instead of "Tale Spin" we got "Tale Spir", instead of "Seicross" it was written "Setcross", and the game "Snake Rattle 'n' Roll" suddenly became "Snake 2", although the second part of this game in principle did not have.
But despite all those misspelled names, the cartridge was really cool. It's not often you see a set of games like this.
By the way, sometimes there were similar copies, but some of the games there were replaced. For example, you could find exactly the same cartridge, but instead of the games "Robocop 3" and "Snake" there were the games "Chip and Dale" and "Spy vs Spy". Moreover, the names of the games were still written with errors.
