There weren’t many beautiful film adaptations in the Union, so the films were watched several times, with special trepidation. Spectacular good fairy tales were supplied by the countries of the socialist camp. And Czechoslovakia occupied a separate place on this list.

"Three Nuts for Cinderella"

The 1973 film is based on the classic story, but with some free additions to the script. A good educational tale almost always appeared on the Internet during school holidays.

"Goldilocks"

In the same year, they filmed “Goldilocks,” a story about a naughty cook who tried magic fish and learned the language of animals and birds. The king, at whose court Irzhik served, sent a servant in search of Goldilocks, the beauty whom he had chosen for his wife. In his search, Irzhik is helped by the animals and birds he rescued.

"The Prince and the Evening Star"

In 1979, the work of the storyteller Bozena Nemtsova “On the Umbrella, Moonlight and Windmill” was filmed. The old king leaves on business and entrusts the kingdom to his son, Prince Velen. The charming Evening Star appears to Tom and helps arrange the fate of the prince’s three sisters.

"Arabella"

This is also a film adaptation from 1979, but this is a whole series of 13 episodes. According to the plot, the main wizard of the fairy tale land was tired of fulfilling the wishes of others and wanted to marry Princess Arabella and rule the Land of Fairy Tales. To get rid of the oppression of Rumburak, the princess and her friends have to turn to the most unexpected characters for help. In the end, Arabella's efforts will be rewarded. And she will find her happiness with her lover from the real world.

"Three Golden Hairs"

This wonderful story from 1981 is the film version of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale about a ruler who is prophesied that his daughter will marry a poor coal miner. To prevent misalliance, he orders to find and kill the boy. But the child gains a powerful protector - the Sun King.

"The Salty Prince"

A year later, a film based on a classic plot was released: the king asked his daughters how much they loved him. The eldest answered that they were like gold, the middle one - like gems. But her father didn’t like the younger girl’s answer, because the girl compared her love for her father to ordinary salt. The angry king expelled his daughter. And now she will have to disenchant her fiancé and remove the curse from her native country, where all the salt has turned into gold - shiny, valuable, but completely meaningless.

"Beyond the Outskirts of the Dragon"

The 1982 film begins with despondency. After all, the king will have to marry his adored daughter Viola to a winged monster (which is actually not evil at all). The girl is in tears, her lover Marian is in shock. What will the dragon himself do in this situation?

"The Third Prince"

A touching story about love and brotherly mutual assistance. The film was shot in 1986 and tells the story of Prince Jaromir, who went in search of his brothers who had been bewitched by the mysterious princess of the Diamond Rocks.

Have you watched these fairy tales? Do you think modern children will like films?
