A building inspector is a person who protects people’s lives from hack builders and defective repairmen. He makes sure that during repairs the load-bearing floors are not broken, that the electrical insulation is in order, that the foundation is able to support the weight of the house, and that the pipes do not leak. Sometimes the inspector comes across amazing examples of crookedness! One inspector from Boston even started an Instagram* where he shares his wildest construction blunders.
