In the 20s of the last century, chemists created a wonderful thing - plastic. Literally 30 years later, in 1957, the very first packaging bag appeared in America. Who would have thought that in 67 years the world would be simply overflowing with all kinds of bags, films, and other packaging.

More than 5 trillion plastic bags are used worldwide every year. It would seem, why does humanity need so much packaging material? But why. Thanks to packaging, the manufacturer not only gives a beautiful appearance to his product, but also protects the product from damage, can save it during transportation, and will not allow bacteria and microbes to render the product unusable ahead of time.

But sometimes the craving for using packaging material goes beyond all limits, and then they appear on store shelves - fruits in plastic.

Indeed, natural protection is not enough for bananas and oranges; let’s add a film.

Well, how do you like lemon, each slice of which is placed in a separate package?

If the situation with fruits can somehow be explained, then what about disposable masks in individual containers?

The microbe will not pass! And the price can be increased...

This man ordered 15 fence posts, the caring seller packed each of them in a separate box and covered it with a thick film filled with air.

The situation with chocolates is familiar to everyone. When they give you a big beautiful box, but there are very few sweets inside. It's a shame!

Bags and bags are not serious! - the apple manufacturer decided and placed them in a plastic container.

We present to your attention olives! Yes, yes, these are olives, packed individually.

This is the case when the packaging is many times larger than the product itself.

We ordered three rolls of wrapping paper, the seller did not skimp on the boxes.

Bell peppers were given reliable protection, otherwise you never know...

One transparent pencil case for pens is clearly not enough; you also need to pack each pen.

How surprised our great-grandmothers would have been to see potatoes in plastic.

Carrots were not spared either; each one was individually wrapped.

Putting minced meat in a bag is a good idea, but this time there was simply no smaller bag available.

This box could have been filled to the very top with sweets, but no.

Returning to the topic of olives, we invite you to admire cough drops. The seller did not skimp on the packaging.

Have you seen the same senseless use of packaging?
