(22 January 1928 – 30 June 2003), English and American film actress of Irish descent. Constance Smith was born in Limerick into a British army family, the eldest of 11 children. Her father died when she was 11 years old and her mother was forced to send her to a monastery to be raised. At the age of 16, Constance Smith won a beauty pageant in Dublin.
