Is it true that in Japanese schools they check the underwear of female students? What is the reason for this, as well as other shocking details of the strict rules for students in this country?

Throughout its modern history, Japan has surprised Westerners with its strict laws and twisted ideas about life (at least as we understand it). But where does it all begin? That's right, at school. Let's now take a closer look at how individuality is destroyed in Japanese educational institutions.

Rule #1: Limitations on hair and skin colors

Some Japanese schools require students to maintain natural hair and skin colors. This rule puts a lot of pressure and affects a person’s personality in a negative way. Under the pressure of these norms, people lose freedom of expression and self-confidence, which will later affect them in adulthood. But the state, of course, does not benefit from freethinkers.

Some students are even forced to prove that they look natural. Sometimes you have to get medical certificates stating that your hair and skin are natural colors. It smelled like North Korea, didn't it? But this is the same Japan where society goes crazy over strange fetishes!

Rule #2: Leftover lunch for late students

Imagine the wildness: your child is punished for being late for school by giving him leftover food for lunch instead of a normal portion. Most likely, this will greatly anger you and force you to go into a showdown. But this is exactly the practice that exists in some Japanese schools. Students who are late for classes are denied fresh food.

This punishment is not only ineffective in encouraging punctuality, but is also harmful to the students' health. Teenagers need proper nutrition to support their growth and development, and a balanced diet plays a key role in this. This rule not only creates an imbalance, but also perpetuates a culture of punishment rather than developing positive behavioral patterns.

Rule #3: Don't use a fan on hot days

Another crazy rule supposedly aimed at maintaining discipline among students is the ban on using a fan on hot days.

Heatstroke is unlikely to help a student master his subjects, but for some reason the administration of some schools thinks otherwise. This hardly contributes to anything positive, other than the desire to quickly escape from the hot class.

Rule No. 4: Mandatory swimming lessons during “these days”

One of the most baffling school rules in Japan concerns girls. These are compulsory swimming lessons even during period. This rule not only ignores physical discomfort and health risks, but also violates personal space.

It demonstrates a complete lack of understanding and lack of empathy for the needs of female students. Swimming during these days can lead to infections and other complications. But... again discipline is paramount.

Rule #5: No hair and makeup

What did you think? If you control the color of your skin and hair, then you can control your hairstyles and makeup too! Often students are only allowed to have certain hairstyles and makeup is completely prohibited. This is how social standards of beauty are imposed.

By imposing such restrictions, schools reinforce the idea that conformity and uniformity are more important than individuality and self-expression. Instead of teaching students to embrace their uniqueness, this policy creates a culture of oppression.

Rule #6: No short skirts outside of school

Some schools in Japan even control things outside of school, prohibiting students from wearing short skirts in public, even on weekends or during family outings. But at school it’s possible and necessary, because it’s a uniform.

The funniest thing about short skirts is that they appeared as a sign of protest back in the 90s. Then the schoolgirls made themselves known, expressing their desire to go against strict standards. Well, what a cunning move on the part of the authorities - to turn this into a school uniform.

Rule No. 7: No eyebrow shaving

As strange as it may sound, some young Japanese are so careful about their appearance that they even shave their eyebrows, making them neat. But in schools there is a ban on this: you can only go with natural eyebrows. It is unlikely that schoolchildren suffer from this very much, but still, it is another stone in the garden of individuality and self-expression.

Rule #8: White underwear for girls

One of the strangest school rules in Japan is that girls are required to wear exclusively white underwear. Moreover, teachers are allowed to check the color of their students' underwear by looking under their skirts.

This invasion of privacy raises serious concerns about the violation of personal space among female students. Why is this a rule if no one should see this underwear? And here we move on to an even stranger ban...

Rule No. 9: no underwear allowed

What-o-o? Yes, you heard right! Teachers force schoolgirls to pull down their panties to check for them. And this is connected with fetishists, of whom there are countless numbers in Japan. You may have already read somewhere that there are street vending machines in the country where you can buy used lingerie. So, some young girls, including schoolgirls, took advantage of this strange fetish to earn some money.

Of course, they sold their underwear and received money for it, but when this became widespread, parents and teachers became worried. A rule was introduced that it was necessary to check the presence of panties on schoolgirls (at the same time, make sure that the underwear was white). These are the strange things.
