Wild wedding traditions from different countries (6 photos)
A variety of customs exist among different peoples. Of course, they could not ignore such an important and large-scale event as a wedding. They can be cute, they can be funny, and they can be shocking.
In the traditional sense, a wedding is preceded by the beginning and development of a relationship, then a marriage proposal, perhaps even a serious conversation with the parents of the potential bride, and then a beautiful wedding, with dancing, congratulations, joyful tears and gifts. But this is traditional...
Fight
The Rwandan Bahutu tribe has a very traumatic and unusual ritual. Before making love, the bride and groom must fight. And if you imagined a funny pillow fight like in American rom-coms, then forget it. They must fight in all seriousness, and the bride must be especially diligent, because if she does not leave at least bruises on the body of her future husband, then she will be considered irresponsible.
The girls are having fun as best they can, and the guys can also respond to her properly. Not a bad foreplay, don't you think? Members of the tribe are sure that such a beating will help the wife and husband leave all the negativity towards each other in this fight.
Blindly
In a number of countries, the bride and groom can be introduced only before the wedding, or even on the day of the celebration itself. But in Tanzania, the practice of introducing young people directly to the marriage bed is very common.
Of course, all these marriages were concluded by agreement between the families of the guy and the girl, and they have no idea with whom they will have to build a future. At the same time, the bride is especially offended, because the groom at least takes part in the celebration, where he drinks and has fun with the guests, but she just hangs out in the bedroom, dressed in all “ceremonial” clothes. She does not have the opportunity to spend at least a couple of hours next to her betrothed, take a closer look and exchange a few words.
Midwife instead of husband
At a traditional Egyptian wedding, before going to bed, a midwife comes to the bride and performs defloration, wrapping a white scarf around her fingers.
After which she comes out and shows the whole team, including the groom, a bloody handkerchief. I wonder what they do if the blood doesn't appear? After all, this is individual for each girl and the notorious hymen, in fact, does not break, but simply stretches in the process... Probably, some freshly killed chicken is hidden under the bed.
Groom testing
In Uganda there is a Banyankole tribe and there, in order to make love to the bride, the groom first has to pass the test of his aunt.
Already an experienced woman, she is teaching a young man the basics of how to treat a girl in bed. Well, evaluate his skills. After which, the aunt does not leave, but remains in the bedroom and controls the process so that the groom does everything correctly, as explained to him.
Adviсe
What can we say, in many countries, close relatives, especially when they are drinking, can winkingly take the husband aside and begin to pour out “advices” on how best to treat his wife in bed. The gossips, in turn, also bombard the bride with all sorts of recommendations, peppering it all with giggles and vulgar jokes.
But in northern Africa there is a Berber tribe and they went further. The bride and groom are not left alone at all on their wedding night. Several other long-married couples lie on the bed with them and just like that, in close quarters and without any offense, they begin to “pass on experience.” To put it simply: a mass orgy begins.
All this madness can continue for up to five days.
