With joint efforts, everything is possible (4 photos)
Including the creation of the most fantastic (at first glance) miracle remedies.
Osteoporosis is the process of destruction of bone tissue in the body with a high risk of fractures. The spine, as well as the bones of the arms and legs are most often affected. This disease ranks fourth in the world after cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus and oncology. Today, drug and hormonal therapy are traditionally used for its treatment.
Also in the pipeline is a new treatment for osteoporosis, which will be created by scientists from Tomsk State University (TSU) and Sharif University of Technology (Tehran, Iran).
It will make it possible to effectively restore bone tissue using biodegradable polymer 3D scaffolds. The party is the developer of supermacromolecules - an active substance whose task is to treat osteoporosis, restore the structure and density of bone tissue, and the Iranian university will develop polymer scaffolds using 3D printing. The project is supported by an international grant from the Russian Science Foundation and is designed for three years.
Scientists can only wish good luck and patience so that everything works out. In general, it’s great that there are such international projects that unite scientists from different countries and are aimed at the benefit of health.
