Today, the cinema is an ordinary thing that will not surprise anyone, just like 3D and 4D technologies. However, this does not apply to the Swedes, who regularly host various experimental film screenings.

The whole thing takes place at the Gothenburg Film Festival, where surprises always await viewers. They have already been shown in coffins and at a remote sea lighthouse.

This time the sessions will take place under the influence of mass psychosis, which will be conducted by a master of his craft. At the very least, the Swedes expect that people will be able to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the film as much as possible, making them feel like they are part of it.

Of course, no one else can boast of such film shows, but there are plenty of unusual cinemas in the world. These are the ones we will talk about. By the way, some of them can be found in the capital.

For example, Lumiere Hall, which allows you to create 100% immersion. After all, there the film is shown on 20 planes at once, located not only in the traditional front, but also above, below and on the sides. So you don’t have to stare straight for two hours, but you can sit back and look up.

The Circular Cinema Panorama at VDNKh, opened back in 1959, looks no less interesting. It is still in operation, but they mainly show Soviet classics, since today they no longer produce “circular” films.

The American cafe-cinema Sci-Fi Dine-In, created at the Disney studio, provides an opportunity not only to watch a movie, but also to have a delicious meal. And most importantly, the spectator seats are made in the form of retro cars, divided into seats for two.

The USA is also home to the retro cinema Bijou. The building was built back in 1909 and was used as an opera house. After 20 years, it was converted into a hall for film shows, leaving restaurant tables on the sides. Although it was restored in 2011, the original old-fashioned style has been completely preserved.

Paris Olympia Music Hall periodically holds promotions with the famous IKEA store. During this time, the music hall turns into an unusual cinema, in which the audience's chairs are replaced by beds. All this creates a “homey” atmosphere. Although everyone prefers to watch movies at home differently.

But this idea today has ceased to be unique, because it is used all over the world. For example, in Poland, where Cinema In Bed is located. Unlike its French counterpart, where you lie in plain sight, here you can create an intimate environment: each bed has railings, and if necessary, you can completely hide it with a curtain.

Another cinema located in the capital of France is The Movie Theater. Here you will not find any chairs or beds. Instead, the spectator seats will be replaced by boats floating in a large pool. True, it is not clear what to do if, in the middle of watching a movie, you suddenly want to go to the toilet.

Not to stray far from the water theme, let's move to London's Hot Tub. Here you can take a hot bath while watching a movie with a couple of cocktails. Of course, you can only visit it in summer.

An open-air cinema will no longer surprise anyone, but watching a film in the ancient Roman amphitheater of Pula is a completely different matter. This place would be ideal for watching historical films against the backdrop of a scarlet sunset.

The Thai cinema "Archipelago" is ideal for lovers of the exotic, because here you will watch films not in the pool, but on real water. True, if you don’t like the movie, you won’t be able to leave.

Well, let's finish with the Chinese The Orange Cinema Club, intended for wealthy guests. The hall is decorated in high-tech style, but there are also separate VIP seats for a group of up to four people. Watching a movie will brighten up the menu, which contains cocktails from all over the world.

Which cinema would you like to visit if given the opportunity?
