These films have such sharp plot twists that you can cut yourself on them.
Seven (1995)
The film is based on a police investigation into a series of bloody murders committed by a maniac. Each murder "punishes" the victim for certain mortal sins. The Bible describes seven such sins, and only a veteran New York police officer and his energetic young partner can stop the terrible chain of murders. An exciting plot, brilliant acting, and emphasized naturalism of the film - all this keeps the viewer in suspense until the last frame.
The Game (1997)
"Seven" made David Fincher the most striking discovery of Hollywood in the mid-nineties. Fincher released his next creation, which the sophisticated film world was eagerly awaiting, the film “The Game” with Michael Douglas in the title role in 1997. The film was characterized by Fincher's depressing atmosphere, amazing style and brilliant technical level, a sense of despair and hopelessness and, of course, an unexpected ending. Unfortunately, the film did not repeat the box office success of "Seven".
Inception (2010)

A puzzle-filled film from Christopher Nolan in which characters enter the mind to steal an idea.
The director explained in an interview that each member of the head penetration team performs a role that has a counterpart in the filming process. Cobb (DiCaprio) is a director, Arthur (Gordon-Levitt) is a producer, Ames (Tom Hardy) is a movie star, Ariadne (Ellen Page, who is now Elliot Page) is a production designer, Saito (Ken Watanabe) is a studio executive, and last but not least, Fisher (Cillian Murphy) is the viewer.
Lucky Number Slevin (2005)

Slevin (Josh Hartnett) moves to New York because his personal life and work were not going well for him in his hometown. The main character decides to try his hand at the metropolis. He finds temporary shelter with his friend Nick. The Big Apple does not greet the guest very warmly. Immediately after arriving, Slevin is robbed and his nose is broken.
He doesn’t find his friend Nick in the apartment, but the house is actively visited by shady characters who mistake Slevin for the owner and remind him that he is in debt like silk, but there is an opportunity to get rid of them. To do this, you just need to kill a person disliked by the mafia. Among other things, a whole kaleidoscope of faces flashes around Slevin, including an active neighbor, a mysterious mercenary and a meticulous detective. It seems that all of New York cares about the main character, and it’s unlikely to be possible to get away from here.
Buried Alive (2010)

Ryan Reynolds' character wakes up in a coffin. He only has a lighter and a mobile phone. Before the air in the box buried in the ground runs out, the main character needs to find out who buried it and how to get out.
Shutter Island (2009)

The fourth collaboration between Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Dennis Lehane and is packed to the brim with character actors: here you have Max von Sydow, Ben Kingsley, and even Jackie Earle Haley (Rorschach from Watchmen) - imagine them together, and you will feel uneasy. Those who for some reason missed “Shutter Island” should probably limit themselves to this information. Let's just add that the ending leaves room for imagination - there will be something to discuss with friends.
Split (2017)

James McAvoy plays Kevin Crumb, who suffers from a mental disorder: 23 personalities with completely different temperaments and behavior live in his head. The film takes place in the universe of another M. Night Shyamalan film, Unbreakable (2000). The paintings have a common sequel, “Glass” (2019).
Reckoning (2016)

The main character of the film, Christian Wulff, works as an accountant (that’s what the film is called – The Accountant) in a small office on the outskirts of Chicago. He is also autistic and has great problems communicating with people. But he is a good specialist. Christian Wulff is not just an accountant, but a calculation genius. On the advice of an old acquaintance played by Jeffrey Tambor, he uses his “almost paranormal” abilities to clear out the black books and balance the debits and credits of mafia bosses, thieving financial tycoons and other powerful villains. And for this, as well as for his silence, they pay him generously (for example, with the original of a Jackson Pollock painting).
Areas of Darkness (2011)

The original title of the film is Limitless, which means “limitless”. In the story, a writer in creative crisis (Bradley Cooper) takes secret pills that allow him to use his brain at 100%. The drug gives the writer incredible abilities, but the side effects will be terrible.
Invisible Guest (2016)

Everyone liked this Spanish detective story with an unexpected plot twist so much that in 2018 they filmed their own version of “The Guest” in Italy, calling it “The Invisible Witness,” and remade it twice in India in different languages under the titles “Revenge” and “Who.”
