The vast expanses of the world's oceans are inhabited by unusual and amazing creatures. The heroes of this collection have one common feature - the presence of many limbs.
1. Promachocrinus fragarius (or Antarctic strawberry feather star)
Last week, scientists discovered a previously unknown creature in the waters of Antarctica. It is about 20 cm long and has 20 tentacles.
The tiny protrusion on which all these limbs are attached is shaped like a strawberry. Hence the unusual name of the species.
