In honor of the great director’s birthday, I’ll show you some interesting behind-the-scenes photos from the sets where Stanley Kubrick’s films were filmed. Let's try to feel the atmosphere of his workspace!

During his career, Stanley Kubrick made only 13 feature films, which did not prevent him from going down in history as one of the most influential and simply best directors of all time. One of Kubrick's distinctive characteristics, besides his uncompromising perfectionism, is that he tried himself in a wide variety of genres, in each of which he managed to create a kind of gold standard. See for yourself.

Science fiction about space? Kubrick's work is probably the main film of the genre. Historical epic? Kirk Douglas, dress up as Spartak! War movies? Call Lee Ermey! Dystopia? Here's a glass of milk, just don't show it to your children. Melodrama? Call Nabokov! Comedy satire? Will it be about the Cold War? Horror film? Stephen King is not delighted, but everyone else is completely delighted!
