Some modern filmmakers continue to release films in which dialogue is partially or completely eliminated. Such works often become a real discovery for viewers.





Previously, supporters of silent films were sure that sound was an excess that would only prevent the plot from expressing its ideas and true meanings. Perhaps they were right in some ways, because the world knows many masterpieces in which not a word is spoken, but at the same time they captivate and force you to follow the events taking place on the screen without interruption. Just think of Nosferatu, a Symphony of Terror, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari or Faust. And the list of great silent films is not limited to just these positions. There are much more of them.
