About defective marriages and unsuccessful weddings. The stories are mainly told by cameramen and photographers who worked at similar weddings.

The post was compiled based on comments from Reddit users.

- The theme of each toast to the bride was something like this: “I’m so glad that you finally found someone who will put up with your excesses.” It seems the couple did not last even six months.

- At the third wedding, my uncle’s best man began his speech with the words: “I told you it would be cheaper to buy my suit than to rent it.”

The third time, my uncle got divorced after six months. Which, to be honest, took longer than we expected.

- The groom’s brother began his speech like this: “Well, I welcome everyone. Glad to see new and old faces.” This was also his brother's third wedding.

- I worked as a wedding planner in a hotel chain. One day at a wedding, the groom found out that his bride was having an affair with her brother's best friend. The bride's mother found out about this much earlier, but still insisted on the wedding, which cost her a fortune. The groom didn’t drink much, but in the middle of the banquet he stood up and said that he knew everything and that he would annul the marriage. And he went on his honeymoon with friends (the bride’s parents also paid for it, and he took it off as moral damage).

- The wedding was outside the city. About halfway through the reception, I heard the groom start laughing uncontrollably. I saw his two friends dragging his struggling and screaming bride to the lake. They threw her in a beautiful dress and veil into icy cold water. To say that the bride who emerged from the lake looked like a drowned rat would be an insult to rats. Hair, makeup, dress - everything was ruined. And the groom continued to laugh. I was ashamed of him and very sorry for the bride. It is clear that the marriage lasted only a few months.

- I work as a videographer. The groom called me a couple of days after the wedding and asked me to remove the footage of him looking at women at the wedding.

- A friend bought his girlfriend a ring for Christmas. It was clearly an engagement ring. But the girl said it was just a Christmas present. A friend confirmed, but we knew he was lying.

A year later they got engaged. She wanted a wedding on a tropical island. My friend wanted me to be a witness, but she insisted that her friend's husband be the groom's witness. My friend apologized to me, and I ended up not going to the wedding.

The bachelor party took place after their honeymoon. We were all drinking and having a good time. There he told me that the first Christmas ring was indeed an engagement ring, but the bride said that she deserved more. He bought her a ring twice as expensive and with twice the stone. Then the bride accepted the proposal.

Three years have passed since then. They divorced a year ago. His ex-wife is pregnant by a man old enough to be her father.

“I officiated a wedding and before the official registration I joked: “There’s still time to run away!” The groom looked at me with eyes full of sadness and answered absolutely seriously: “It’s too late.”

A week later, his wife cheated on him with a neighbor.

- I work as a cameraman at a wedding. Once he attached a microphone to the groom to record sound and continued preparing for the ceremony, and when he was about to adjust the sound, the groom went into another room with the lady. Putting on my headphones, I heard him telling her about a “marriage of convenience” and explaining that nothing would change in their relationship.

“The bride’s mother talked non-stop about the groom to several of our photographers. She said that her daughter was too beautiful for the guy to whom they promised her hand, and that she would prefer that he die before she saw him with her daughter after the wedding (it was an Indian wedding).

When we were about to photograph the portraits of the newlyweds, the groom came up to us and said that he was very tired, so it would be better if we used photographs from previous weddings where we worked and put his face in them. Three months later the couple divorced.
