There is so much drama, crazy stories and secret knowledge “for our own” in the filming process that it is not at all surprising that so many films and TV series are made about Hollywood itself. In the pre-Internet era, all these facts would simply be inaccessible to people outside the industry, so, one might say, we are very lucky - we need to take advantage of it!

1. While looking for a tattered coat for the actor playing the wizard in The Wizard of Oz, the costume assistant bought it at a thrift store. While putting on his coat, the actor turned his pocket inside out - the name of L. Frank Baum, author of The Wizard of Oz books, was written on the pocket. Baum's widow later examined the coat and admitted that it indeed belonged to her husband.

2. Shortly before the worldwide release of Up, Pixar granted 10-year-old Colby Curtin's wish to see the film before she died. Colby was diagnosed with cancer and was too ill to go to the movies. A Pixar employee flew to the girl's house with a DVD of the finished film and arranged a screening for her and her family. Colby died seven hours later at 9:20 p.m.

3. Young actress Georgie Henley's reaction to Mr Tumnus at the lamppost was genuine - she had not seen her co-star James McAvoy in his costume and makeup before filming the scene. By the way, Georgia's first reaction to the snowy world of Narnia is also real. She was carried onto the set blindfolded, so her wide eyes and enthusiastic reaction are genuine.

4. Viggo Mortensen, who played Aragorn in the Lord of the Rings film trilogy, became very attached to the two horses he rode during the filming of the films. After filming ended, he bought them both out.

5. In addition to his copyrighted voice, Stephen Hawking also lent the creators of the film Stephen Hawking Universe his Companion of Honor and his thesis for use as authentic props.

6. The Goonies director Richard Donner wanted kids to have a genuine reaction when they first saw Willie's ship, so they weren't allowed to look at it until it was time to film. The scene had to be re-shot because Josh Brolin, seeing the ship, screamed in admiration.

7. In Hercules, Hades says to his minions, “Calm down, guys, we're only halfway through,” exactly 46 minutes into the 92-minute film.

8. Jack Reynor himself asked for his character in Midsom to be naked while running around the commune. Believing that the horror genre tends to exclusively exploit women in its scenes of sexual violence, he wanted to help counteract this.

9. In Jurassic Park, the insect in the amber is the elephant mosquito (Toxorhynchitis), the only mosquito that does not suck blood; therefore, it could not contain dinosaur DNA.

10. In Ratatouille, a large rat named Geet has an ear tag that says A113. Not only is this a classic Pixar easter egg, it also hints that he was a lab rat and explains why he is so healthy.

11. In The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Steve Carell decided to wax his chest on camera for the first time, all for the sake of comedy.

12. For Bohemian Rhapsody, British choreographer and movement coach Polly Bennett worked painstakingly with Rami Malek, honing every nuance of Freddie Mercury's mannerisms. Every glance, every turn, every self-confident step on stage and every movement of the microphone had to accurately replicate Mercury's mannerisms.

13. While filming The Avengers in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Samuel L. Jackson learned that Breaking Bad was being filmed in the studio across the street from his set. He tried to sneak into the background dressed as Nick Fury, but the producers caught him and turned down his offer to make a cameo.

14. The Lord of the Rings actors often had to fly by helicopter to remote filming locations. Sean Bean (Boromir) was afraid of flying and only did it when absolutely necessary. When they filmed the Brotherhood crossing the snowy mountains, he spent two hours each morning climbing from the base of the mountain to the platform at the top, already dressed as Boromir. His colleagues watched his rise from helicopters.

15. Mark Ruffalo had to leave the Avengers premiere because his 4-year-old daughter was terribly scared when she saw her father transform into the Hulk.

16. In Cujo, the friendly St. Bernards playing the rabid killer dog had to tie their tails because they kept wagging them happily.

17. In Monsters, Inc. (2001), Boo tried to give Sally a toy Nemo. Finding Nemo was only released in 2003.

18. While filming The Silence of the Lambs, Jodie Foster was so afraid of Anthony Hopkins that she avoided him at all costs. They never communicated outside of the role until the last day of filming.

19. Not a single stunt double has been able to recreate Tom Hanks' clumsy run in Forrest Gump. So the creators called Tom's brother, Jim, as his stunt double for all the running scenes.

20. For Man of Steel, Henry Cavill (Superman) was asked to shave his chest for the oil rig crash scene, but he refused, claiming that Superman had chest hair, citing the famous graphic novel The Death of Superman.

21. Daniel Radcliffe was initially offered just £125,000 for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The actors' union intervened and negotiated new terms, increasing his fee to around £2 million.

22. In Kung Fu Panda, Po's father owns a noodle shop. This is actually a reference to James Hong, his voice actor. Hong's father owned a noodle shop, and Hong often worked there. When the filmmakers found out about this, they added this detail to his character.

23. Julia Stiles read her poem at the end of the film “Ten Things I Hate About You” in just one take, and according to the script she was not supposed to start crying.

24. Having learned that she would have to expose herself in front of Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic, Kate Winslet decided to overcome all embarrassment in advance and showed him her breasts at the first meeting.

25. Warner Bros. Johnny Depp had to pay an 8-figure fee for the third part of Fantastic Beasts because he managed to star in one scene.
