There is so much drama, crazy stories and secret knowledge “for our own” in the filming process that it is not at all surprising that so many films and TV series are made about Hollywood itself. 1. While looking for a tattered coat for the actor playing the wizard in The Wizard of Oz, the costume assistant bought it at a thrift store. While putting on his coat, the actor turned his pocket inside out - the name of L. Frank Baum, author of The Wizard of Oz books, was written on the pocket. Baum's widow later examined the coat and admitted that it indeed belonged to her husband.



2. Shortly before the worldwide release of Up, Pixar granted 10-year-old Colby Curtin's wish to see the film before she died. Colby was diagnosed with cancer and was too ill to go to the movies.
