When you hear the word skateboard, a classic board comes to mind, but in fact there are various variations with their own names and form factors, let’s talk about them.





Due to the frequent absence of waves, the young people decided to experiment and attached wheels to the boxes. Then the box was replaced with compressed boards.







Already in 1960, the board on wheels became so popular that surfboard manufacturers expanded production and began producing skateboards.



Today, the family of skates has expanded significantly and includes:

Classic: Regular modern skateboards.



Penny board: a narrow plastic skate designed for city roads.



Snakeboards: a design made of two plastic sections connected by a movable joint. They only have two wheels and are not intended for tricks.



A cruiser is a classic skate, only larger and with soft wheels, not intended for high-speed riding.



Longboard: widened suspension, larger ears, modified wooden platform.

Most often used for descending slopes or roads. The model is specific, including because of its size, and is not suitable for all who like to ride.



However, even within these five models, there are different variations and form factors, such as lighted or foldable skateboards.

Photon Light Boards are boards with built-in LED lights that help with night riding. Can also be used for spectacular night photos.



It is believed that the illumination increases the safety of the skateboarder, allowing car drivers or passers-by to notice the skater at a decent distance.

Pumgo, which does not need to push off from the ground, accelerates when you press the nose and end of the deck using a 4WD system.



There is also a Flowboard variation, which has 14 wheels at once. Due to this, the deck is well controlled. Unlike a regular skateboard, which has a 25-degree inclination, it has a 45-degree inclination.



Stowboard is generally an excellent travel option; the design folds down to the size of a regular notebook. At the same time, when unfolded, it is not only not inferior to its regular counterparts, but also in some ways gives a head start, since it is intended for all ages, is durable and has a low center of gravity.





There is also the T-Board, which is a variation of the classic board, but with only two wheels. Pros: smooth movement and tilt, but the model is clearly not designed for beginners.
