In some places, Easter eggs are obvious and confirmed by the creators, but in others they are just guesses of particularly attentive network users. Look, it's interesting!

The poster is the face of the film and an important part of the marketing campaign that tries to make us believe that we really need to go to see this or that picture in the cinema. That is, although not as many resources are invested in creating a poster as in filming a film, ideally the same amount of effort and talent is invested. The most famous posters are not just a collective photo of the actors participating in the film; the goal of their authors is to create a clear and attractive visual creation and at the same time fit into it as many interesting meanings as possible.

Typically, movie posters are divided into minimalistic and overloaded with images, but in both cases they can hide a number of tricky details that are invisible at first glance.

1. Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)

Among all the characters, we can see a cameo by the film's director, Quentin Tarantino, who does not appear in the film itself, but was captured on the poster in the process of his work. This image fits perfectly into the poster, since “Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood” is half dedicated to the underbelly of the filming process.

2. The Dark Knight (2008)

On one of the posters with the image of the Joker, under the release date and the official website of the film, you can see a mysterious incomprehensible inscription. If you turn all the letters the right way around, you get “A Taste For The Theatrical” (“a penchant for tricks”) - this is how Detective Gordon described the Joker when telling Batman about him at the end of the first film, Batman Begins.

3. Toy Story 4 (2019)

All Pixar cartoons are interconnected! This is already an axiom. This time, the creators placed a reference to another project directly on the poster. In the picture above the Toy Story characters you can see the main villain, his dogs and the cutest dog Doug from the cartoon Up (2009).

4. Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2021)

The creators of the remake of the 1974 horror classic made a subtle reference to that film in their poster. We can see the silhouette of the maniac Leatherface in his iconic pose with a chainsaw raised above his head.

The remake itself has not yet been released; it will premiere on Netflix in 2021.

5. Ready Player One (2018)

The goal of the main characters of the film - to find the "Easter egg" - is reflected on the poster, and in the very credits with the name of the film. If you look closely, you will see that the inscription is made in the form of a labyrinth, the entrance to which is located in the uppermost letter R, from where you need to get to that same “Easter egg” in the letter O. Try to get there!

6. 127 hours

This poster, unlike the others, needs to be taken as a whole in order to pay attention to the important detail. The tagline of the film is “every second counts”, as the plot tells the story of a climber who falls into a deadly trap in the mountains. The image of the film poster, which resembles an hourglass, in the upper part of which there is practically nothing left, is based on the concept of time passing by.

7. Child of Darkness (2009)

How do you make a scary girl from a horror movie look scary enough on the poster? The creators found a way and mirrored the face of actress Isabelle Fuhrman so that it consisted of two symmetrical halves. This made the heroine’s appearance seem unreal and therefore ominous.

8. Silence of the Lambs (1991)

The moth design on the movie poster isn't just a skull-like design from nature, it's a reference to a 1951 photograph by photographer Philippe Halsman based on an idea by Salvador Dali. In it, the famous artist poses next to a makeshift skull, which consists of seven naked women. The performance was called “In Voluptate Mors” (“death in pleasure”).

9. Halloween (1978)

You can easily see a frightening face on the knuckles of the hand holding the knife. This image on the poster fits perfectly with the spirit of the film, but the authors claim that this happened by accident, and this is just pareidolia, which is common to all of us.

10. The Beginning (2010)

In one of the posters with one Leonardo DiCaprio, we can see a house with a gable roof peeking out, which stands out among the skyscrapers. This is a reference to the world that DiCaprio's character Cobb created with his wife Mel in their dreams.

11. Gone Girl (2014)

The poster contains a hint of a spoiler, so be careful. All film posters are made in the style of a television screen, which shows a news broadcast with a characteristic ticker. And the silhouette of the missing heroine Amy from above is positioned in such a way as to create a certain effect that is incomprehensible to those who have not seen the film: Amy’s eyes seem to be reflected in the TV she is watching, watching on the news how they are looking for her. After all, as the plot progresses, it turns out that she faked her disappearance.

12. Monstro (2008)

This disaster movie is famous for its very brief glimpses of the monster that attacked New York. But people on the Internet even found it on the poster. To do this, you need, as in the case of “Child of Darkness,” to reflect the right side of the image, where the smoke is. By combining the two halves we get the silhouette of a monster that is very similar to the one shown at the end of the film itself.

13. Passengers (2016)

The lines and dots next to the name are not just a design element - this is how the SOS signal looks like in a letter.

14. Captain Marvel (2019)

If we look closely, we can see on the poster not only the main character, but also the most striking character in the film - a cat (that is, an alien from the Flerkin race) named Goose.

15. Parasite (2019)

In one of the hand-drawn posters for the film depicting the main locations, you can see an Oscar statuette hidden under a table. Thus, the filmmakers predicted the success of their creation, which subsequently received four such statuettes.
