Every autumn, this 1,400-year-old tree from China's Zhongnan National Park dresses in a dazzling yellow outfit, showering its surroundings with golden leaves.





For thousands of years, the Inuit of Alaska and Northern Canada have been carving glassless glasses with narrow slits from wood or bone to prevent their eyes from being burned by the blinding light of the Sun reflected from the white snow.



The Japanese have been harvesting wood for 700 years and have a signature daitsugu method invented in the 14th century. Thanks to him, they obtain wood without cutting down the tree, but by trimming it, preserving the trunk and removing only the growing upper branches.

The Swedish ship Vasa sank in 1628 during its maiden voyage, moving a little more than a kilometer from the coast. 333 years later, it was raised from the bottom of the sea to become the main exhibit of the Vasa Museum in Stockholm. It is considered the best preserved ship from the 17th century.
