From shit and sticks: a green, elegant one came to us for the holiday (16 photos)

The New Year is coming soon, and this prompted us to look on the Internet at both unusual Christmas tree decorations and the New Year trees themselves.



As it turns out, the choice is limited not only by the criterion of “live” or “artificial”: a New Year’s tree can be made of balloons, in the form of a computer game, or be a huge lizard that can breathe smoke.

For example, in Kirov in 2019, trees made from garbage appeared. In fact, it’s made from recycled materials, but let’s call a spade a spade.





The structures consisted of glass and plastic bottles, bags and even egg cartons.



It sounds, of course, so-so, but outwardly it looks interesting.

Also, the symbol of the New Year can be replaced with a cake in the shape of a spruce. Why not? There is wood, there are gingerbread toys. Beautiful? Beautiful. But it’s also delicious!



Moreover, there are a bunch of types: both horizontally and vertically, and with various edible houses.



Some even glow, and one can only hope that no one will be electrocuted when cutting off the tasty morsel.



In Madrid in 2007 they went even further and combined the tree with the Pac-Man game, in which ghosts hunted for a yellow round creature.



The Christmas tree repeats scenes from the game, and not only do the patterns themselves glow, but so do the characters.

Ghosts and Pac-Man move a little, but they move. This effect is possible thanks to the huge number of light bulbs located on the structure.

In Japan, in 2011, a shopping center was decorated with several monsters.



Big Godzilla is a huge green creature with red glowing eyes, capable of spewing a stream of steam from its mouth and covered in garlands.



And at the same time there is a smaller monster, consisting entirely of glowing blue lamps.





There is also an unusual spruce in the foreign store “Design Museum”, where a strange structure made of bars and cardboard made by Giles Miller is exhibited.



Christmas trees made entirely from balloons have been discovered online, with detailed instructions on how to make the tree itself and the toys to go with it.







As we can see, the choice of spruce is unlimited, only live or artificial: you can show your imagination and create any design that will please the eye.

But the main thing is not the decorations or the food on the festive table. The most important thing is a good mood and close people gathered around.
