In the engine compartment of the car, the manufacturer places symbols that not all car owners pay due attention to. Meanwhile, the information on the factory stickers is important, and studying it will help you avoid problems when operating the machine.



There is usually a percentage sign next to the headlight of the car. What does it mean? Those who carefully study the car's operating manual will answer this question without hesitation. However, the manufacturer understands that it is better to clearly duplicate some facts - this way the car enthusiast will remember them much better, and the marking will not go away.





A sticker with a percentage designation (it can vary from 1% to 1.5%) is directly related to the headlight range control. With its help, you can change the angle of incidence of light rays and, thereby, ensure normal visibility at night. Adjusting the headlights is necessary, for example, when the trunk is fully loaded - in this case, the front of the car will rise and the light will be aimed at the “sky” and not at the road.



The percentage sticker shows how much the luminous flux horizon decreases as you move away from the light source. For example, with an indicator of 1.4% at a distance of 1 meter, the horizon of light will shift down by 14 mm. If the marking says 1.3%, then, accordingly, the upper limit of the light beam will be lowered by 13 mm one meter from the devices.
