Transparent coffee with the smell of burnt rubber: an unusual drink from the Neiji brothers (16 photos)
There are many types of coffee, but CLR CFF can be confused with regular water. What kind of drink is this and who invented it?
During the existence of coffee, many varieties and types of the drink have appeared. Various experiments with taste and color were constantly carried out.
There is even decaffeinated coffee, with wine or with hot coals.
However, in 2017, brothers David and Adam Nagy from Slovakia were able to surprise coffee lovers who, it seems, had already seen everything.
The brothers released a clear drink that smells like coffee.
The main feature of the drink is the absence of pigment, which, when lost on the enamel, changes the color of the teeth.
As a result, the CLR CFF drink is a kind of compromise. You could continue to drink your favorite drink without sacrificing your smile.
The drink contains Arabica coffee, caffeine and water without preservatives or sweeteners. It is worth noting that 100 ml contains 50 mg of caffeine, which is clearly overkill for a bottle size of 200 ml.
David and Adam Nagy report that it took them more than three months to develop this drink.
However, they do not disclose how exactly they managed to preserve the properties and smell of coffee.
All that is known about the miracle potion is the use of new methods of physical processing.
The drink was met with interest, but in the end not everyone liked it.
For example, one of the famous YouTubers James Hoffman criticized the price of a small bottle.
The store where CLR CFF first appeared was in London, and the price for one small bottle was 8 pounds.
But even at such a barbaric price, the batch was instantly sold out, and Hoffman had to wait 6 weeks to snatch a jar.
CLR CFF smells like regular cheap instant coffee, although experts online note that the clear liquid resembles a mixture of burnt wood, rubber, and solvent aromas.
Opinions also differ about the taste: while some say that the taste is ok, others report that it’s like they’ve swallowed smoke.
By the way, it is worth noting that the drink is not suitable for pregnant women, children or people sensitive to caffeine. The same Hoffman suggested hiding the drink from everyone in a dark closet.
