Buildings made from bottles, corks, Legos and even trash.

There are many different houses: some of them are architectural masterpieces, others are the simplest buildings. Stone, brick, timber and other materials are used in construction, but what if we say that this is not a complete list of what a building can be constructed from?

As it turns out, some individuals use ice, bottles and even caps from alcoholic beverages during construction.

For example, an architect from China, Li Rongjun, built a two-story house from bottles in 4 months.

However, not everything is so simple, the first floor is built of clay and brick, but the second floor is made of 40 layers of glass containers (8500 beer bottles).

The man also plans to build an office extension.

And in Sweden there is an entire hotel made from pieces of ice called Icehotel. Yes, it is seasonal, and operates from November to March, but it has been built every winter since 1990.

Despite the icy execution, it is warm to be in its rooms, covered with deer skins. There's even a bar and a chapel.

As tourists note, it’s really comfortable to sleep, but you should take thermal underwear with you. It can be purchased locally. True, the price tag will be higher than usual, about 40 dollars in dollars.

During the day, the hotel conducts tours of the premises, but at night, all outsiders leave and only extreme sports enthusiasts remain who dare to spend the night. If a person still freezes, there is a standard warm building nearby.

One of the hosts of the famous Top Gear program, James May, actually fulfilled a childhood dream and built an entire house out of Lego parts in 2009.

The frame of the building was made of wood, while the rest, including the walls, was made of construction kit parts. This house had everything: a working bath, a shower, furniture and even a cat, all of which took more than 3.3 million parts to construct.

By the way, the cat from the parts was eventually stolen.

The house did not stand for long; the owner of the Denbies Wine Estate, where the building was located, needed to expand the territory for the vineyards.

Since there were few people willing to purchase the structure, the building was demolished.

A bricklayer from the Czech Republic, Miroslav Svoboda, didn’t bother at all and decorated the façade of his house with wine corks.

A total of 180,000 pieces were used in the finishing, divided into two parts. Moreover, he also used those that he collected himself, and when they were not enough, local winemakers came to help.

Moreover, the facade is not just sheathed, but also decorated with round and triangular ornaments, which are located on three sides of the house. By the way, the Freedom House is currently attracting crowds of tourists.

Let's round out the list with a couple from Pennsylvania, namely artists Nick Olson and Lila Horwitz, who literally built their home from a landfill.

Their house consists of garbage, old window and door frames, waste boards.

As you can see, a house can be built, if desired, from any objects, using any materials. The stability and durability of such buildings are questionable, but their owners are clearly not tormented by these questions.
