Human intelligence is limitless, as evidenced by the colossal number of amazing inventions of the past and present. Most countries have their own geniuses competing for prestigious awards.

But where do most of the “minds” of humanity live?

The ranking of the smartest countries in the world was based on three indicators: an assessment of historical intelligence (the number of Nobel Prize winners), current intelligence (IQ) and future intelligence (level of school education).

How true it is is up to you to judge.

Japan boasts not only a strong economy, but also the region's intellectual heritage. It's no secret that the country has made a powerful technological breakthrough, keeping pace not only with advanced developments, but also creating them independently.

By the way, Japan is in 6th place in terms of the number of laureates, as well as in terms of average IQ. The school achievement rate is 58.01%, placing the Japanese in 5th place.

The second place was Switzerland, which gave the world many talented scientists. It is rare to meet people here without higher education. In addition, the country is prospering and has great prospects.

Switzerland is also in 6th place in terms of the number of laureates, and in 11th place in terms of IQ. School performance is just over 38% (7th place for this indicator).

In third place is China, approaching the status of the most influential state in the world. Largely due to the high quality of education.

And this despite the fact that the Chinese are in 21st place in terms of the number of Nobel Prize winners. But the IQ score raised them to 2nd place. School performance is the same as in Switzerland.

In fourth place is the United States, leading in the number of laureates, which, by the way, is strange, considering that the country is in 28th place in terms of IQ.

School performance also leaves much to be desired, placing the US in 13th place with 29.84%. But Americans compensate for all shortcomings with a high level of university education.

After all, 33 US universities are in the TOP 100 best universities in the world.

Fifth place went to the Netherlands, for their high level of student education. The Dutch are in 11th place in terms of the number of laureates, and in 8th place in terms of IQ. School performance here also leaves much to be desired - 24th place.

It is in terms of school education that we are in 6th place, and in 8th place in the number of laureates. But the IQ turned out to be rather weak, placing our country at 32nd place in the ranking.

Next comes Belgium. Previously, higher education here was considered as prestigious as in the Netherlands. However, today students prefer to go to other countries for knowledge.

The Belgians ranked 18th in terms of the number of laureates, 15th in terms of IQ, and 16th in terms of school education.

It is interesting that Great Britain, which ranks 2nd in the number of Nobel Prize winners, is in 8th place.

It's all because of school education, which has given way to some Asian countries. Now the British are in 30th place in the ranking with 25% academic performance. The country ranks 17th in terms of IQ.

Canada is consistently in 9th place, maintaining its position in school and higher education. There are also plenty of Nobel laureates here (8th place), but the country is in 34th place in terms of school performance.

South Korea closes the top ten, with excellent school education, where preference is given to foreign languages and computer science. The academic performance here is 66.85%, which allowed us to get into 2nd place.

In addition, South Korea has a high IQ (4th place), but at the same time, in terms of the number of laureates, the state is in distant 46th place.

Do you agree with these data, or do you think that the positions of some countries are noticeably downgraded?
