Aston Martin Virage Shooting Brake 1993 up for auction (12 photos)

Bonhams will offer a factory-converted Virage five-door shooting brake - one of seven built by Aston Martin Works - at its Les Grandes Marques auction in Paris.





In 1989, the Virage replaced the Aston-Martin V8. Since 1992, they began to produce a convertible version, and a version with a 6.4-liter V8 from the racing Aston-Martin AMR1 with a power of 465 hp also appeared. This version had a maximum speed of 282 km/h.



A total of 1050 copies were produced. There were also exclusive specimens among them.





This example was released by the factory in a coupe body and immediately went to the Works Service division. Its buyer, the German collector Roland Muller, ordered a 4-door station wagon to be made based on it.



The base of the car was lengthened by 30 cm, two doors were added and the rear part was redrawn. Instead of the original "automatic" they installed a "manual".



Later, 6 more station wagons were built in its image for the royal family, but their base was increased by 40 cm.



The first owner sold this car only in 2007. The seller kept the car in a garage for many years, without moving it. The buyer will have to invest heavily in repairing the chassis and engine.



The auction will take place in Paris on February 3. Estimate: €150,000 – €250,000
