Every year, environmentalists talk about global warming, which is not surprising, since temperatures around the world continue to rise. Of course, this is not felt everywhere, but there are places on the planet that are more reminiscent of a real “branch of hell.”

At least this is evidenced by information from satellites studying temperature fluctuations. So, where are the hottest places that pose the real danger?

There is a place in Ethiopia called Dallol. Once upon a time there was a mining settlement here, but now even animals do not wander into this ghost town. This is all due to volcanic activity, due to which the average annual temperature does not drop below 35 degrees.

Finding Coober Pedy in Australia is quite difficult, because it is an underground city. Local residents preferred to settle downstairs, since the temperature does not reach less than 37 degrees even in the shade. Of course, underground may be more comfortable, but only until the moment when seasonal dust storms occur.

It is difficult to say what the weather is like in El Aziziya, located in the north-west of Libya, since for all known reasons it has long been impossible to measure it. However, previously the temperature remained at 48 degrees with enviable consistency.

The Libyan city surpassed the Sudanese Wadi Halfa by one degree. In addition to the heat, local residents are bothered by sandstorms accompanied by excessive thunderstorm activity. This spectacle looks truly creepy.

On the southern edge of the Sahara Desert, the Malian city of Timbuktu is confidently turning into one of the hottest places on earth. Every year a new temperature record is broken there. For example, last year the thermometer exceeded 54 degrees.

And again he moved to Libya, namely to the oasis city of Ghadames, located in the heart of the desert. Stable heat of 55 degrees is possible here only if you spend most of your time at home, sitting behind thick adobe walls.

Once upon a time, caravans came to the city of Kebili, located in Tunisia, looking for water and rest. Now things are completely different, since the temperature here is increasingly exceeding 56 degrees.

In China, there is a geopark called Danxia, which attracts attention with its rainbow mountains made of red sandstone. True, it is difficult to enjoy it, because a NASA satellite recorded a record temperature here, both for China and for many other parts of the world, of 66 degrees.

Well, the undoubted leader is the Australian wasteland, located in the heart of the continent. Taking temperature measurements here is quite difficult, especially during hot periods of drought. Whatever the climate, it is very difficult to survive the heat of 70 degrees.

What temperature record have you experienced or could you survive?
