After retiring, a former pilot named David Tan from the United States did not stop flying airplanes. He decided to do a good deed - to transport animals in need of help on his light plane. A man with a big heart!
An American named David Tan worked as a pilot of a variety of aircraft for 40 years. But even after retiring, he did not stop flying. The man decided to do a good deed - in his small Aermacchi SF-260, an Italian two-seater aircraft, he transports rescued animals to safe places or new homes.
David started transporting animals in 2012. Since then, he has transported approximately 360 dogs, 23 cats, as well as goats, piglets, and even one bat from different places! He works with Pilots N Paws on a volunteer basis and helps transport animals to shelters, rescue centers, or to new owners if they live far away and cannot come to pick up the pet.
According to David, one day he accidentally saw an article about this organization in a magazine, and from then on he began helping furries in need. His goal became to save lives and help our smaller brothers as much as he could. And his favorite part is when homes are found for the animals and he delivers the fluffy one to a new home.
All of the pilot's furry charges are usually calm and curious during the flight, and David expertly calms them down. Sometimes owners or employees try to thank David with money, but he does not accept anything - but asks people to donate money to pay the medical bills of the shelters. Thanks to this man - he really has a big heart!
