Life is full of adventures, you just need a little courage and a drop of curiosity to open the door that leads to real miracles. And for those who are not yet ready to leave their comfort zone, there is a popular Facebook page “Beauties and Wonders of the World”, created by Turkish enthusiast Anatolian Leo. Here, as you might guess from the name, amazing photographs and facts from all over our planet are collected.
1. In the southwest of the Korean Peninsula, in the province of Jeollanam-do, there is a village in which time seems to have stopped: people here live like in the old days, preserving the way of life of their ancestors.
2. Sakya Monastery. The library was discovered in Tibet behind a huge wall (60 meters long and 10 meters high). It contains 84,000 secret manuscripts covering human history over 1,000 years ago.
3. The Japanese have been producing wood for 700 years without cutting down trees. In the 14th century, the extraordinary technique of daisugi originated in Japan. Daisugi stipulates that trees are planted for future generations and are not cut down, but pruned, like giant bonsai trees. If you apply this technique to cedars, you can get a uniform, straight wood without knots, almost ideal for construction.

27. The warship Vasa sank on its first voyage to Stockholm in 1628. After 333 years at the bottom of the sea, the impressive warship was restored and was able to continue its journey. Today, the Vasa is the only surviving 17th-century sailing ship and can be admired in a museum specially built for it in Stockholm.
