From “lost souls” from roots to tsunami clouds: amazing optical illusions created by nature (28 photos)
Many people like optical illusions because they make it seem as if you are in another world. However, the coolest and most amazing of them are created not by man, but by nature.
She is capable of creating the most impressive and cunning illusions, which are not so easy to see right away. The following selection of photographs is dedicated to them.
At first glance, it may seem that this tree is from another planet, but this is exactly what the mushroom looks like, taken from below.
And with photographs like this, it seems as if nature is always watching over us.
Despite the fact that it all looks like the work of an expressionist artist, what you see is a real natural landscape. In the foreground are dead trees, eclipsed by the setting sun, and in the background are the red dunes of Namibia.
These are the kind of stone trees you can find in the vast expanses of Egypt.
Looking at such clouds, it seems as if the sky has swapped places with water, because in front of us is a real heavenly raging ocean. Looks impressive.
The only thing cooler is the tsunami clouds. It may seem as if a huge wave is actually moving towards you.
Sometimes you can find the most amazing reflections on the water. For example, this was discovered on one of the rivers in Texas. It looks like the city is underwater, although some people mistakenly believe it was taken through glass at an angle.
And in Texas there is Jacob's well, which is 10 meters deep. However, due to the transparency of the water, it looks as if people are taking a real leap into the abyss.
Speaking of reflections. This is what it looks like near the hand inside Glen Canyon, which makes it look like a person is walking not along the shore, but along the edge of a cliff.
No less interesting illusions are created by sunlight coupled with water. A similar thing was noticed in a fountain in L’Aquila, Italy. It looks as if the sculptures are pouring real lava from their bowls.
It may seem like an ordinary forest, but this is a mini version of it, located in Tasmania. The height of the trees there is only 20 cm, but at the same time there are mini-boulders, grass and even lakes.
Even rocks have fish-like eyes? No, it's just frost formation.
In Belgium there is a rather interesting 200 meter long bike path that runs through a large pond in a nature reserve. What's special about it? While riding, a person's face is at the same level with the water, so it seems as if the cyclist has driven his head into a pond.
Even nature sometimes prays. At least this is what the leaves of the plant indicate.
Tea tree oil sometimes gets into Lake Kakora in Australia after floods. Because of this, such an amazing picture is formed on the surface, created exclusively by the brushes of nature.
Well, let’s finish with this rather creepy picture that can be found off the coast of North Carolina. It may seem as if lost souls are rising from the water. Imagine what it’s like to see something like this at night.
