Shoes



Despite mothers' instructions, shoes can be washed in a washing machine. Of course, not leather shoes and boots, but definitely sneakers and sandals. It's much easier than scrubbing them by hand. Shoes should be washed at low temperatures, on a quick wash. The strong spin should also be turned off and left at about 800 rpm.

Backpacks





You shouldn’t be afraid to wash your backpacks in the washing machine either. Take everything out of it, turn it inside out and safely put it in the drum. Do not wash backpacks at high temperatures or for too long.

Toys



Some toys can be safely washed in the washing machine. We are talking about small soft toys that get dirty easily. It is better not to wash large toys, of course. When they get wet, they become much heavier and can break the machine. Toys should not be washed in hot water and should be laid out to dry immediately after washing.

Dish sponges



We are used to throwing away dish sponges, but they can be washed and used to wash shoes, for example. This method is suitable for thrifty people and for those who don’t like throwing things away. You can wash sponges separately or together with rags. High temperatures do not harm them, but you shouldn’t use a strong spin cycle.

Pillow



Contrary to opinions, you can wash pillows in a washing machine, but not large pillows, not feather pillows or memory foam pillows, which are made from special foam. Small padding polyester pillows can be washed in the washing machine. Not at high temperatures, of course.

Rugs



I hope everyone is already washing their bathroom and hallway rugs? They contain a lot of dust and dirt, so the rugs need to be washed at least once a week. The rules are the same: not at high temperatures, not for long, and a gentle spin.
