The famous painting by da Vinci is full of mysteries. For example, the exact date of the painting is not known, but there is an assumption that it was between 1503 and 1505. The personality of the woman depicted also excites the minds of researchers. It is generally accepted that this is Lisa Gherardini, the wife of the Florentine merchant Francesco del Giocondo. But there are at least 10(!) versions of who it really is, including the assumption that this is a self-portrait of Leonardo himself. This is definitely an unexpected turn of events!
