Abandoned adit "Annabiosis" with an icy descent into the depths of a giant mine (37 photos)
Today I will tell you about the abandoned transport adit of the giant Perevalny mine, which closed in the second half of the 2000s.
The mine was located in the depths of one of the mountains of the Solnechny region of the Khabarovsk Territory.
We found this adit portal thanks to rock dumps and a small barn, having noticed which we decided to drive closer.
First we saw the remains of a repair shop, which we mistook for the entrance to the adit.
But there was only a viewing hole and a warehouse.
And having decided to take a better look, a hundred meters from it we discovered the portal of the 600th horizon we needed.
From which an adit for dump trucks led into the darkness, which transported cassiterite ore through it, from which tin was mined at the mining and processing plant.
This horizon has quite a few forks.
There are also a lot of frozen areas that never thaw.
That's why we gave him the nickname "Cryptosis".
Wooden support is found in places.
Some forks run into rubble.
And at the intersection of one of four mine workings, we discovered a deep hole, which was probably an ore dump.
Behind the wooden wall was a rising trunk that connected this horizon with two more above and below.
The view is down, but of course we won’t go down here, but will get there later along the adit.
Transformer substation niche.
And again ice stalagmites.
Well, now let’s go back a little to one of the forks and go down to the most interesting thing.
A curving mine working goes down from the main adit.
Where there is even more ice.
It rests against a wooden partition with a hole in it.
Near it there is another exit to the rising trunk, which we approached from above.
View up.
And the view down. The trunk goes even lower to yet another horizon.
And the mine workings themselves spiral down hundreds of meters.
But it was so covered with ice that trying to go down there without alpine equipment was simply dangerous, so naturally we didn’t go down.
And finally, I would like to remind you that there is no need to repeat visits to such objects without experience and preparation. Abandoned mines are extremely dangerous places, fraught with many dangers, and possible collapses are not the most common thing that can happen to you there.
So it’s better to just look at our photos with a mug of tea.
Well, that's all.
