The capital of one of the richest countries in the world combines an unconventional way of life, ancient traditions and modern art. Right on the streets of Doha you can see numerous sculptures that are something unusual.





"Force of Nature II"

This amazing composition is located on the embankment of the Qatar Amphitheater. It represents a large figure of a woman, whose face is hidden behind clothes, as well as a ball, which she swings with all her might. The woman herself is the prototype of nature, and the ball is our planet. The author created more than one similar sculpture - “sisters” of this figure were also installed in other major cities of the world.



"Thumb"

The sculpture in the form of a finger sticking straight out of the ground is installed on the main square of the city. This interesting object has already become a well-known symbol of Doha - it fits so harmoniously into its surroundings. Indeed, the golden finger harmonizes perfectly with the buildings, which illuminate the object and area with yellow light in the evening. During the day, the sun's rays are visible on the bronze, which adds to the atmosphere characteristic of an oriental bazaar.





"Yigal"

An unusual sculpture can be seen in the vicinity of Lusail. The authorship of this amazing installation belongs to Shuk al-Mana, a local arts minister. The girl depicted part of the traditional men's headdress, which is usually worn in Qatar. In this way, the artist expressed respect for the history and traditions of her country.



"7"

No traveler will miss this sculpture, which rises 24 meters in height. This object symbolizes the huge role of the number 7 in local culture and religion. Thus, the meaning of number and object is closely associated with infinity and the spiritual principle.



"Rooster"

You can observe unimaginable works of art in Qatar not only in squares and streets, but also in private areas. So, this sculpture is located on the territory of one of the hotels. It was created quite recently, just last year, and the author was an artist from Germany Katharina Fritsch.
