Disney has been making big-budget remakes of its classic animated films, including princess ones, for years now. Viewers have already seen adaptations of such cartoons as “Beauty and the Beast,” “Aladdin,” “Mulan” and others. Here are stills from films in which Disney princesses and the actresses who played them appeared.





Disney princesses are fabulous and beautiful girls who were the idols of many girls in childhood. Some of them, many years later, were able to escape from the two-dimensional cartoon world and found film versions.

Aurora



The role of Aurora in the films “Maleficent” (2014) and “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” (2019) went to Elle Fanning.

Belle





Emma Watson became the new Belle in 2017's Beauty and the Beast.

Ariel



Viewers will be able to see the new “Little Mermaid” in 2023. The role of Ariel was played by Halle Bailey. The choice of actress is still controversial.

Jasmine



In the 2019 film Aladdin, the role of Jasmine was played by Naomi Scott.

Cinderella



In 2015, Lily James played Cinderella in the film adaptation of the fairy tale.

Mulan



The full-length film "Mulan" was released in 2020. The main role was played by Chinese actress Liu Yifei.

Snow White



Disney does not have a movie about Snow White, so you can compare the princess from the cartoon with the main character of the film "Snow White: Revenge of the Dwarves", released in 2021. Lily Collins played Snow White.

Also in 2012, another film based on this fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, “Snow White and the Huntsman,” was released. Kristen Stewart plays Snow White.
