- I don’t know about other studios, but in Burbank almost all filming takes place in rented premises. These places then smell of sweat and shit if anal is filmed. This smell does not disappear later.



- My friend worked as a cameraman on the set of Porn Valley near Los Angeles. [Aka “San Pornando Valley” or Silicon Valley (not to be confused with Silicon Valley)]. He said that alcohol and drug abuse is common there. Porn actresses, for example, arrive to filming with their eyebrows already on and empty bottles of alcohol lying around in their cars. - The porn industry grinds down actors in rather cruel ways. Both men and women. There is such a thing (well, there definitely was before) - “magic eights”. This is when the length of the penis is 8 inches [20 cm], the actor can last at least 80 minutes without cumming, and at this moment at least 8 people are looking at him. So, even guys with “magic eights” will never earn as much as their female counterparts in regular straight porn [M+F]. They can only earn more if they are willing to star in gay scenes. And regular M+F is half the price. So anyone who wants to make good money will have to put up with M+M.

- The amount of sexual harassment on the set is simply off the charts. The “old guys” easily use the “newbies” before and after the scene to “convey the basics of the skill.”



- Working in the porn industry will ruin your personal life, even if you are not an actor, but an accountant or studio marketer. The mere mention of it makes people look at you with more suspicion. So you mostly meet with those who are also in the porn industry. And it sucks, especially when you're just an accountant trying to make a living.

- My wife worked in the porn industry (editing source video material for a British porn company). Much of what she saw happened by mutual agreement between the actors. But over the three years that she worked there, more and more often she was asked to cut some pieces from scenes.
