Some researchers believe that this is how someone expresses themselves. Well, others talk about mental disorders.
There are those who are categorically against tattoos. Why tattoo some symbols on your body? Every few years, “update” them or bring them together? They don't see any point in this. And they notice that the “tattoo” looks good on a young and fit body. What will she look like when the tattoo lover lives to be 70 years old?

Tattoo artist Ruslan and his chosen one Lesya. A girl from Saransk met him on the Internet and flew to a meeting in France. After two hours of dating, he tattooed his name on her face in gothic font. But they still got married later.
And in 2019, the authors of the Journal of Psychiatric Research also delved into the topic and timidly stated that “some people who get tattoos on their faces may show signs of mental disorders.” For example, dysmorphophobia - when a person cannot adequately assess his appearance, is dissatisfied with it and constantly wants to change it. Sometimes this leads to very exotic “results”.

In general, scientists are very cautious in their assessments. And every time they add that there is no direct connection between a tattoo on the face and mental problems. These are just their assumptions.
